The PDR takeover series is in partnership with the team from Messer Fitzroy, as we take over the restaurant for a special dinner every Monday night. We have handpicked some amazing talent from around the country to collaborate on these special evenings.

Each Monday will feature a 5 course menu with paired beverage, designed by a different savoury chef, pastry chef and sommelier. With an aim to promote collaboration and stimulate creativity within our industry, we are very excited to see which each team creates!

Sascha Rust (Messer, VIC)
After the success of their first restaurant Copper Pot, chef Sascha Rust has finally bought the concept to Fitzroy with the latest venue, Messer. Developing his skills through the kitchen's of Gingerboy and Pure South, Sascha's food is full of fresh flavours and unusual cuts of meat. He is no stranger to popups either, having successfully hosted a series of dinners with Jasmine back in 2016.

Eigen Ting (L'Hotel Gitan, VIC)
Eigen Ting has been developing his technique under Jacques Reymond at L'Hotel Gitan. The talented  pastry chef has just come back from a stage and training experience in Chicago after winning the 2017 Cacao Barry patisserie competition. He trained under world renowned Joel Robuchon (RIP) at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore, which can be seen expressed in his Asia meets France flavours.

Jasmine Wakely (le timbre wine, VIC)
Jasmine Wakely is a sommelier turned winemaker, after studying winemaking at Melbourne Polytechnic. She previously managed the winelist at the likes of Cleaver Poly's and The Commoner, before completing vintages around the world. She currently is working on her own project le timbre wine and is looking forward to pairing some booze again with Sascha and Ting.
